Our facilities

Welcome to our Riding Centre

At Flying Start Children’s Riding School we are very proud of our amazing facilities from where we teach horse riding to children and adults alike from absolute beginners who have never sat on a horse before to more advanced riders who wish to polish up their skills or simply to practice.

Our indoor arena

Our indoor arena measures 20 metres by 30 metres and is where we hold most of our riding lessons throughout the winter months or when it is wet outside.

We can easily accommodate lessons with up to 8 horses and riders.

The arena is covered and sheltered from the elements, yet it has plenty of natural light which makes it a great place for a safe and controlled environment for teaching students of all ages.

Our outdoor arena

Our outdoor arena is a lovely outdoor space where students can learn and practice their skills outdoors.

 

Our yard & stables

This is the area where we keep the ponies and horses when they are kept indoors and also where we wash and groom them.

Our surrounding countryside

We are situated right in the heart of Somerset at the bottom of the Quantock Hills. We are surrounded by quiet country lanes and peaceful surroundings which are ideal for a hack with the horses.
